Persona 5 Royal: Room Decoration Guide

Looking to decorate Joker's room in Persona 5 Royal? Here's how to do it and where to get the decorations.

There is a ton to do in Persona 5 Royal. There is the plot, upgrading your gear, boosting Joker's stats, befriending confidants, getting money, and your normal school life. In the endless pit of game content, there is also the fact that you can decorate Joker's room.

There are many decorations to collect, even more so in Royal than in the original game. Some are easy to get, while others have very specific requirements. Most of the decoration require hanging out with specific confidants at specific locations.

Shelf Decorations

Within Joker's room is a large empty shelf, just waiting to be filled with items. There are nine items in all that can be placed on the shelf. You cannot decide where they go on the shelf, as each item has a predetermined placement.

Decoration Name Required Confidant Required Location Other Requirements
Ramen Bowl Ryuji Sakamoto Ogikubo None
Sushi Mug Ichiko Ohya Ginza None
Swan Boat Munehisa Iwai Inokashira Park Unobtainable on a rainy day. Need to be around rank eight with Confidant.

Floor Decorations

Some decorations are too large for the shelf, so they are placed on the floor. Unfortunately, only one floor item can be displayed at a time so you will have to pick a favorite if you have more than one. Among these items is the most difficult decoration item to get in the game, the balloons.

Decoration Name Required Confidant Required Location Other Requirements
Gi-Nyant Doll Makoto Nijima Suidobashi Not available on rainy days.
Shumai Cushion Makoto Nijima Chinatown Not available on rainy days and only available on Holidays.
Balloons Shinya Oda Tokyo Destinyland Only on available on 10/30 and 11/3. Must be rank nine with Oda and spend time in Asakusa with him before 11/3.
Choco Fountain Ann Takamaki Shibuya None
Nude Statue Yusuke Kitagawa Ueno None
Skytree Lamp Chihaya Mifune Asakusa Only obtainable on the second date while romancing the Confidant.

Wall Hanging Decorations

All three wall-hanging decorations have different placements in Joker's room.

Night Pennant Sadayo Kawakami Seaside Park Must be romancing Sadayo and be on your second date.
Hamaya Yusuke Kitagawa Meiji Shrine Unobtainable on rainy days.

Desk Decorations

Most of the decorations for the desk are not obtainable through hanging out with Confidants, but from playing the crane game at the arcade in Akihabara. The first prize will be available in September, and it costs 300 yen to play per try.

There is a little bit of strategy that players have found to beating the crane game — any dates with the number seven in it give Joker higher luck, and having a persona with high luck helps as well.
