Animal Kingdom Attractions

1. Kilimanjaro Safari

This is ane of the best rides always designed and is the largest ride on the Disney holding. I'm pretty sure the Imagineers came upward with the idea for this ride and then had to figure out a park to go with information technology.

Like everything else that Disney does, this ride has a story with it. Guests are loaded onto real trucks that have been designed to look like safari jeeps. They are then taken on a tour of unlike parts of Africa: the jungle, the Nile, and the savannah. This ride is like a real African safari ride, only you are guaranteed to see animals. No two trips are ever the same.

I recommend riding this 1 get-go thing in the morn when the animals are about active. I would also recommend riding it twice. I suggest getting a Fastpass for kickoff matter in the morning, if possible, and so getting in line right away once you get to the park. The line should simply exist a few minutes long, and by the fourth dimension you get off, you lot will exist able to use your Fastpass. That way y'all are able to enjoy one of the rides and accept pictures on the other. Not to mention, if you ride shut enough together you'll have an thought of where the animals are in their paddocks at the present time.

In that location have been a lot of changes to this ride and information technology at present features several species of nocturnal animals. Nocturnal means these animals are active at night. Riding Kilimanjaro Safari late in the afternoon and evening hours will be an entirely different experience from the early morning ride.

ii. Maharaja Jungle Trek

This is a swell place to cool off and unwind. Information technology is a winding path that has several places to stop and lots of shaded areas. Along the path are different animals that are found in Asia. Some of the highlights are tigers, bats, gibbons, and the aviary with many different kinds of birds. Information technology's just like visiting a really clean, very well-put-together zoo. No thing how busy the park is I always manage to find exhibits on this trail with no park guests. There are enough of places to stop and sit downwards on this track, which is very nice in the hot sun. I love when I find a nice shady spot where I tin can just sentinel the animals become about their day.

On my last trip, my boyfriend marveled at the fact that most, if not all, of the plants were put at that place specifically by Disney to look like you are in an Asian jungle. Nada is done by accident.

3. Kali River Rapids

This ride is perfect for summertime. It is a traditional family unit raft ride. The big divergence is this ride has a reason behind it. The ride starts off deep in the Kali rainforest, with calm waters. The ride and so continues on through the rainforest and starts to pick up speed with the water becoming increasingly rough. The ride leads guests to an illegal logging site in the heart of the rainforest, it shows human'south negative impact on nature.

At that place are drops and turns every so often, making it commonplace to see guests exiting the raft completely soaked. There is a storage unit in the heart of the raft. If you have anything that yous don't desire to get moisture, or that can't get wet at all, I would strongly suggest using it. If you yourself are not a fan of getting wet on rides I suggest either wearing a poncho or staying on dry ground.

I love this ride. Only, many times I have to skip it because I cannot chance getting soaked. I don't peculiarly similar walking in soaked socks and sneakers, everything else will dry out quickly. Except for jeans. Soaked jeans in a theme park are awful. I've been known to alter into swimwear for the ride.

Overall, this is a great ride. It is fun. People usually take a corking time laughing as the raft turns and various people become soaked. The line does tend to go long then I'd recommend getting a Fastpass for this one if it is on your must-practice list.

4. Festival of the Lion King

Located in the Africa section of the park, this show brings to life all the different elements of the movie. The guests are seated in a circle effectually the stage. Performers enter from unlike parts of the tent, even walking right by guests. This bear witness has something for everyone; singing, dancing, acrobatics, comedy, and romance. If your children can watch the moving picture they tin handle this prove.

This show is then popular that it does have an option for Fastpass, which I would take if you actually want to see information technology but don't fancy waiting in a long line to see it. All the same, I've never had an issue with getting in without one. If I don't feel like waiting in the line I'll grab a snack or check out the shops until they first seating. The only upside to getting in early on is being able to sit downwards out of the dominicus, in my opinion anyway. The entire show is good fun and a nice break from walking on your feet in the hot Florida sunshine. While I don't consider it an absolute must-do every trip, I will totally catch a evidence if it works out with my day at the park.

five. Finding Nemo - The Musical

If y'all have kids that are a fan of the Finding Nemo movie chances are pretty good you will find yourself waiting in line for this show. Information technology is the verbal same as the movie, simply with puppets and fix to music.

This musical is not for everyone. Personally, I can run into past the people holding the puppets, and I love the music. My brother, well, he hates information technology. The show gets dark and, much like the movies, has some scary bits. That being said it might not be a favorite with younger children that are frightened by loud noises or nighttime places. But, I think that this show is amazing. The await times can be really long since they but do four or 5 showings a day. The big downside of waiting is there is very little shade and in the summertime sun, it's not a whole lot of fun. While I practice relish this show I would not stand in line for an hr for it, peculiarly non in direct sunlight. However, If I'chiliad coming by and they are actively seating, I'd risk getting in line to catch the show.

6. Dinosaur

This is i of the most intense rides Disney has produced. Ever. The theme is that yous are visiting a inquiry facility that does tours dorsum in the fourth dimension of the dinosaurs. As you are getting fix to board your vehicle one of the scientists informs you lot that he has reprogramed motorcar rover's settings to become back to the time right before the meteorite hits. His goal is to bring back a specific dinosaur that he had tagged on an earlier mission.

The rover takes guests on a rough and surprising road. There are sudden turns, lots of bumps, and many unexpected visitors. On the journey to find your dino you run across some friendly and some non-so-friendly dinosaurs. Of course, the ride wouldn't exist half as much fun if it didn't go until the very last minute to complete the mission.

This ride is loud, dark, and very intense. At that place are flashing lights and the move of the rover is unpredictable. This is one ride where I would heed the warnings for modest children. I've seen and so many behind-the-scenes documentaries and I empathise the technology of the ride but It still gets me every time.

I honey this ride. I as well can't go on my eyes open the entire time because I know what is going to jump out at me. This ride is a must-practice for me every trip. There was one twelvemonth where it was raining so desperately that most people left the park for the 24-hour interval. My family rode this ride nearly 5 times dorsum to back since at that place was such a brusk line and not much else to practise inside in that part of the park. It was fantastic!

seven. Trek Everest

This is a roller coaster with a twist. Much like many of Disney's other coasters, this one takes place in a mountain. Guests board an old train that looks every bit if it has seen better days. Once the ride starts y'all volition discover that something is off. Signs of the yeti are everywhere. While you wait in line you are bombarded with evidence of privies yeti attacks.

What is really unique is that this ride doesn't just get forrad and astern. At the very height of the mount, the railroad train of a sudden stops, and things don't look practiced. That is where yous will run into him. Simply in fourth dimension your train breaks gratuitous and falls back down the tracks, in the opposite management.

I've heard this ride is fantastic, but a little bumpy. Personally, I have never been on this ride. I'm not a very big fan of roller coasters. Simply, I dear the premise of it, and I simply love the style it looks in the skyline of the park. Viewed from far away the mountain looks beautiful and ominous. I'll happily stand in line with my group and have in the fantastic imagery in the queue line. I just tell the ride attendant that I would like to go out and they lead me away. I'm thirty and I still exercise it. They pass no judgement. There is a tea cart not far from ride and I become a nice cup of tea while I wait for my political party.

8. Flight of Passage

This ride is like nothing yous have ever experienced before. It is so much more than than a simulation ride. Yous actually feel like yous are riding on the back of a banshee. That being said it is intense. My heart charge per unit when from its normal BPM (beats per infinitesimal) of 68 to 120 while I was on the ride. If my Fitbit is any indication of just how intense it is. That is insane. I don't desire to give too much of it away since I feel that it may spoil the magic of the ride. Half of the fun of it is the fact that information technology is then new that everything about it is novel. This ride will modify the future of the theme park industry.

Information technology may non be appropriate for all riders, so make certain that you lot read the warning signs to determine if your kid, or whatever member of your group, should ride. If you still have any doubts talk with a cast member. They will exist able to help you to determine if your child volition bask the ride or if they would be meliorate off checking out some of the other wonders Pandora has to offer.

Much similar Dinosaur, I would heed any of the posted warnings. I absolutely dearest this ride and am happy to wait in line for it since Fastpasses get then speedily. I went a few months after it opened and it was a madhouse. They opened the park early for resort guests. My mom and I line upward all the way to Africa, that's pretty far from the ride, and were in line for almost 2 hours. Information technology was worth it. I was dorsum again a few months later and the line was only as long but was down to simply an hr and a one-half wait.

ix. Flights of Wonder

I will start by saying this show isn't for everyone, but if you aren't afraid of birds and so you should requite it a try. The show focuses on the amazing skills associated with different birds. Birds fly freely over guests' heads. The birds will fifty-fifty land on a few called participants before returning to the stage. This is where guests have the opportunity to view many big species of birds, and birds of casualty. This show is beautiful, surprisingly comic, and educational. It is a lovely pause from the business of a theme park twenty-four hour period.

It'south now a new bear witness, but the premise is the aforementioned. If you or anyone in your group has a fearfulness of birds this is a evidence that you need to skip. The birds are complimentary-flying and they are even so wild animals. I've been at shows where the birds don't always return right away when called or they land in an area they shouldn't. At that place is a chance that yous could have a very up-close encounter at this evidence.

x. Pandora

All of Pandora needs to be on this list. Fifty-fifty if you lot practice not want to ride anything, lines are also long or peradventure theme park rides aren't your affair, yous volition want to visit Pandora. Disney worked very hard to give guests the illusion of visiting a foreign earth. The institute life is a mix of Pandora's native plants (simulated plants) and tropical plants native to various places on Earth that look out of this world all on their own. At night the entire expanse comes live with color.

In that location is even a smell that is distinctive to Pandora. Non to mention the fact that there are floating mountains! I simply tin can't get plenty of how cute the area is. Even though there are currently only two rides, two places to swallow, and one store there is plenty to proceed y'all entertained for several hours.

I am a footling disappointed at how small the Pandora section is, only I only love information technology. Since it is the newest section of the park it is the busiest department, only I feel that even if you don't want to ride the rides there you should still terminate past and take in the view of the floating mountains.

The Rundown

So, I think it is important to note that I have listed these attractions in no particular guild. I know some people would be wondering why I accept Pandora and Flight of Passage so low on my list. Trust me they aren't. I also try to keep this listing as current as I tin can. Trips to Disney are expensive and not every bit frequent equally I would like. However, I practise my inquiry and I stay informed of all the changes at the parks.

I tried to keep my list of things that I truly enjoy. While I can't honestly say that I accept never been on Expedition Everest I love the theming of the ride, line, and the expanse around the attraction. I have waited in line with my family unit enough times to get pulled into the story, and I love that. I really feel that at that place is something for everyone at Animal Kingdom and the park is 1 of the all-time theme parks I accept always been to.

Equally someone that has worked in the zoological industry, I can honestly say that Disney has revolutionized beast enrichment programs. Disney is too committed to its conservation fund, which I absolutely love. This is truly one of the best zoological parks in the world.

Questions & Answers

Question: What are the Rivers of Light?

Reply: It is the 'other' ride in the Pandora section of the park. It is a gunkhole attraction. Information technology is a slow moving ride inside that accept the riders through the world of the Nav'i. It is pretty and the animatronics in it are pretty cool.

Question: What do you lot think of the Disney world Avatar allure?

Respond: If you are asking about the main attraction in Pandora, that is Flying of Passage which is listed as number 8. I did also list all of Pandora equally number 10 considering it was such an impactful addition to the park. I wasn't a huge fan of the boat ride, it was just a gunkhole ride with an Avatar theme.

Question: Can we sign up for Fast Laissez passer for Walt Disney World online?

Answer: Fastpass is included in the price of your park ticket. If you are ownership your park tickets ahead of time (such every bit at the time of booking the room reservation) then y'all can choice your fast passes threescore days out (if yous are staying on property or 30 days (if you are an annual laissez passer holder). If you don't get your first choice right away don't despair! People are always letting go of their fastpasses (they have a modify in plans, they conflicted with dinner reservations, and and then on) so check dorsum frequently. Y'all can either selection your fastpasses online, the aforementioned website you utilise to volume your vacation, or y'all can use the my disney experience app. Both are very easy to use, just brand sure you accept the account and ticket data for anybody in your grouping when y'all get to make your fastness selections.

Question: Is Walt Disney World'south the Beast Kingdom suitable for a 4-year-old?

Answer: Absolutely! At that place is so much for younger kids to practise. There is a petting zoo at the Rafiki Planet Lookout man. There is a behemothic playground in the Dinosaur area. Kids also love animals, the park is full of them. This is the largest park at Walt Disney Globe and you may desire to consider using a stroller at this park, even if they are a keen walker.

Question: Tin yous meet Walt Disney Earth using a half day pass?

Answer: I've never heard of a half day pass at Disney. For a while many people considered the Animal Kingdom to exist a half mean solar day park because information technology wasn't open late and there was no night testify. Since Pandora has opened and they have added a calorie-free bear witness to the Tree of Life that is no longer the case.
